THE Mercure Haydock hotel has unveiled its stunning new refurbishment, drawing inspiration from the nearby famous racecourse.

The design, which pays homage to the equestrian surroundings of the mansion property, upgrades the original décor and makes it the perfect hub for guests.

The reception, bar, Beeches restaurant, lounge and conservatory all contain subtle nods to horse racing, with an equestrian theme seen throughout the property.

The hotel has 135 bedrooms, with murals of the fences at Haydock Park Racecourse adorning the walls, and Superior rooms and Suites offering views over the courtyard, flat-screen TVs and Nespresso machines.

The Beeches Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner with a market menu offering fresh, local produce, alternatively, guests can relax with light snacks in the Conservatory or indulge in afternoon tea in the Lounge.

The hotel also offers a state of the art fitness centre and indoor pool, with a sauna, solarium and jacuzzi to enjoy or even a well-earned massage.

Inge van Ooteghem, senior vice president for upscale and midscale brands at AccorHotels UK and Ireland, said: “This is a stunning refurbishment to one of our most beautiful hotels, and the new décor will definitely be a great hit with both international and domestic guests.

“The Mercure Haydock is a fabulous mansion property and we wanted to mirror the stately exterior inside the hotel.

“The Haydock Park Racecourse is a hugely popular venue and we love how its rich heritage has been reflected throughout the design.

“We’re sure that guests will enjoy their stay with us in Haydock and will look to return time and time again.”

Mercure Haydock hotel joined the Mercure brand in October 2015, following the signing of a management contract with Amaris Hospitality Limited.
