COMIC con is set to arrive in St Helens this summer as the town hosts its first convention.
The town hall will welcome visitors through its doors for the inaugural event of 'geeky' fun on July 15.
The conventions focus on the worlds of comics, TV, films and just about anything with a dedicated fanbase.
People can take part in 'cosplay' dressed up as their favourite characters and there will be special guest appearances on the day, and many stalls to visit.
The event is organised by Wonky Rockets Events, who have brought comic con events across the North West.
Announcements on guests are expected to be made in the near future, with the first to be made next week.
"We do several comic cons and we thought St Helens was a prime target," said Neil Livesey, of Wonky Rockets Events.
" It has never had a comic con before and the town hall is a great venue for something like that with a great forecourt we can get some big props in and lots more to see inside."
Doors will be open from 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday, July 15 with early bird access from 9.30am.
See sthelenscomiccon.co.uk for more and to book tickets.
Early bird entry is £12 for adults and £6 for a child with under fives free. Standard prices are £8 and £4.
