A DATE has been set for the funeral of Tony Barrow, who passed away aged 45 this week.

His family say a celebration of Tony's life will take place on Tuesday, March 28 at St Mary's Lowe House Church from 10am.

A wake will take place at Saints' stadium later. People attending the funeral are urged to wear bright colours.

Tony, from Thatto Heath, died at the age of 45 after battling a brain tumour.

There has been an outpouring of tributes to Tony, son of former Saints player Tony snr, from the rugby league community.

Supporters carried out a minute's applause at Ruskin Drive this afternoon as Pilks Recs took on Thatto Heath.

And the Manchester Storm Ice Hockey team, which Tony supported, also paid tribute.
