THERE will be plenty of tasty treats on offer tomorrow (Saturday, March 18) as St Helens Town Hall is transformed into a vegan food hall and vintage sale.
The fair will provide everything from chocolate to cheese, cakes and sweets, a range of hot foods - as well as vintage clothing, accessories and vinyl, and cruelty-free health and beauty products.
Ann-Marie Owens, of event organisers Phoenix Apparel, said: "There will be around 70 businesses, with new additions including vegan meringue, donuts, cheese, fudge and Baileys.
"We'll also have lots of hot food including Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Thai and African cuisine - something very different for St Helens."
There will be children's crafts in room seven and the healthy living team in room nine, offering check-ups.
Talks by research scientists from Dr Hadwen Trust will take place in room 10.
Vintage vehicles and vegan food vans are expected outside, weather permitting.
In the build-up to the event, Phoenix Apparel challenged St Helens town centre manager Gary Maddock, other council staff, St Helens Star reporter Paula Morris and the management of the town's Marks & Spencer to go vegan from March 11 to 18.
Ann-Marie added: "We hope to attract as many people as the first event did last year - come, sample and learn more about the delicious vegan foods that are available!"
Entry to the fair, open from 10am to 4pm, is £1 for adults with children going free.
