NEARLY 3,000 Saints supporters are expected to travel up the East Lancs to Leigh for Friday night’s Super League derby.

Supporters have been kicking their heels with no action for Saints since the opening day victory over Leeds a fortnight ago.

The teams last met in a league fixture in 2005 and a passionate atmosphere is anticipated. Saints had already sold 2,700 tickets for the Leigh Sports Village as the Star went to press.

Drivers heading through Haydock and on the East Lancs are advised to be wary of traffic congestion.
