SANDWICH outlet Subway is to open a new store in Eccleston, offering up to 12 jobs in the community.
The new Millfield Court store on Millfields, Eccleston, is expected to open on March 6 after franchisee Anthony Deegan, who runs a further six stores across Liverpool and the Wirral, decided it was a prime location.
It will be based in shops neighbouring a Sainsbury's Local and the Eccleston Grange housing estate, which has been built on the former Triplex site.
Anthony said: “I am proud to be expanding my portfolio of stores to meet the increasing demand in the area and Millfield Court is a fantastic location.
“The new store will give residents and visitors alike more choice and options with real value and offers the opportunity to employ residents.
“I look forward to welcoming customers to the grand opening in March.”
Store manager Ray Williams added: “Opening a new store in St Helens as its where I grew up and also where I started my Subway career.
“I truly believe that Eccleston will be a great location for us and for the community.”
The store is currently being fitted out and will be open from 7am until 10pm Monday to Sunday for the first few weeks, featuring coffee and indoor seating for 46 people.
