SEVERAL shops, studios and eateries around Earlestown have sold for more than £230,000 in an online auction.
The properties including Unity Muay Thai Boxing Club and Rosie’s Bar on Earle Street and Poco coffee shop and M & J Home Improvements on Market Street, sold for a total of £236,500 after 92 bids from across the UK.
The property housing Phone Clinic and Electronics in Market Street was also sold for £122,000, £47,000 above the guide price after receiving 48 bids.
Richard Reed, from John Pye Property Auctions, who sold the sites, said: “This has been a hotly contested auction and we received a lot of interest in the properties featured.
“They have a lot of potential for investors and with funding being injected into the town’s infrastructure, this is a good sign.”
The online property auction site will also feature two more properties later this month, when Star Car Wash and a detached property in Wargrave Road go under the hammer.
The auction, which will run from February 22 to February 23, have a guide price for the car wash at £200,000.
The property occupies the majority of the ground floor accommodation and also consists of two, two-bedroom flats on the first floor, both accessed from opposite sides of the building, providing a gross income of £42,700 per annum.
The second property, in Wargrave Road, is a detached property with seven lettable rooms.
It currently has an income of £13,520 per annum but the potential to increase this to £20,080 when fully let.
