RESIDENTS are being urged to be cautious after a quantity of prescription medication was lost in the Earlestown area yesterday (Monday, February 13).
It is thought the medication was dropped in Earlestown or Newton-le-Willows.
The medication consists of four Buprenorphine patches, which is a type of strong painkiller.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Members of the public are reminded that taking medication that is not prescribed for them can be dangerous and can even prove fatal."
Anyone who finds this medication is asked to hand it in to their nearest police station, pharmacy or contact 101.
