TWO men broke into the Cricketers Arms pub, stole bottles of spirits and caused damage.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident at the award-winning Peter Street pub.
According to Merseyside Police, at around 2.50am on Saturday (February 11) two men forced entry to a rear door at the Cricketers and, once inside, took seven bottles of spirits and damaged the property.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "They then left the scene on foot."
He added: "Officers have viewed CCTV footage and are keen to speak to the man in the image - or anyone who might recognise him as they believe he might have information that could help their enquiries."
Detectives would like the man in the image - or anyone who recognises him - to contact them via 0151 777 6253 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
