AN AMBITIOUS teenage alternative rock band has finished recording their debut EP.

Four-piece Paper Mountains formed in 2015 consisting of Ryan Shaw-Binns, vocalist and rhythm guitarist, James Forshaw on lead guitar, bassist Matty Rynn and Charlie Hayward on drums.

The group, whose members hail from Sutton and Bold, have completed recording their debut release, a five-track limited edition EP called The Road Less Travelled, which will be available from March.

And the lads are looking ahead to a big launch gig event at The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool on Friday, March 24.

On the night they will be supported two bands: The Atmospherics from Blackpool and Cumbrian group The Twitchers.

With low priced tickets, a return coach will take fans from St Helens to Liverpool and back on the night.

“Their work ethic is just spectacular,” manager Al Allison-Hughes told the Star.

“The lads really learned a lot last year and they’ve shifted the focus.”

The group has big plans for 2017 with a UK tour and a number of festivals in the pipeline including the 15,000-ticketed ‘Glastonbudget’ in Wymeswold, Leicestershire.

Other novel events throughout the year will include ‘Live in your Living Room’ – a competition draw to have the Paper Mountains putting on a private performance at the winner’s home.

For tickets to the EP launch, visit the Paper Mountains Facebook page or website papermountainsofficial.co.uk.

The EP will be available via the website and other channels, including iTunes, Amazon Music and Spotify.
