POLICE are hunting burglars who made off with a safe containing jewellery and cash after breaking into a property.
Between 12.15pm and 5.20pm on Saturday (December 3), the offenders entered a house on Wyke Road in Prescot and stole the small safe containing jewellery and a quantity of cash.
House to house enquiries have been carried out and an investigation is underway.
Officers would like to speak to two men who were seen acting suspiciously on Wyke Road at around 4pm on Saturday.
The first is described as being of slim build, 5ft 10in tall, with stubble and wearing a baseball cap.
The other was also of slim build, approximately 5ft 5in tall, wearing dark clothing with a hood covering his head.
