CROWDS packed out Newton High Street for the Christmas Lights switch-on last weekend.
The area was a flurry of activity on Sunday for the event with a Christmas Market also held.
There were various market stalls held, along with carols and other entertainments throughout the day. People also sampled seasonal refreshments at the Pied Bull Hotel throughout the day.
