MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays in the Thatto Heath, Earlestown and Newton-le-Willows areas of St Helens as road resurfacing works get underway this weekend.
The roadworks will begin at the junctions of Elephant Lane and South Street, Thatto Heath, on the evening of Saturday (October 22), resulting in Elephant Lane closing in both directions from 6pm on Saturday until 5pm on Sunday (October 23).
In Earlestown and Newton-le-Willows, Wargrave Road will be closed in both directions from 7am on Sunday (October 23) until Thursday (October 27) for carriageway resurfacing at the junction of Wargrave Road with Victoria Road.
A spokesman for St Helens Council said: "Signed diversion routes will be in place in these areas, and access to properties and businesses will be maintained."
