SINGER-songwriter Adam Bradbury has been signed by a record label after a recent move back to Billinge from Jersey.

Adam, who supported has Bryan Adams with one of his past bands, released his new single 'I'm Not Over You' on Monday (October 10).

After six years in Jersey, he says he is ready to give focus on music and give it 100 per cent.

The former Up Holland High pupil said: "I've been signed by Right There Records, an independent label based in Liverpool.

"I write, record and produce all my own music - I do vocals, play guitar, bass, drums and percussion.

"The only thing I'm not so good with is brass - but I can knock out a tune on a trumpet too!"

After studying music technology Adam joined a band called Snakes Hate Fire, who were signed to a label which was owned by Virgin Records.

With Snakes Hate Fire, Adam toured the UK and Ireland as a support act, playing to crowds of 60,000.

He said: "We had some sell-out gigs in major cities.

"Then our singer got a song-writing deal, which was a great offer, so she went her own way and we eventually split."

As a youngster, Adam was into "skateboarding and an alternative lifestyle".

He said: "I got into punk rock - the sort of music that goes hand-in-hand with the skateboarding scene.

"When I was 14 I started having guitar lessons and after a few months I taught myself."

Around six years ago, Adam decided to move to Jersey, where he got a day job and also built up a following doing acoustic and open mic nights.

He said he is now ready to focus entirely on music again and was thrilled to be signed by Right There.

Adam is planning to film a video for his next single against a house party scene and he is looking for people in St Helens to appear in it or help out with it.
