POLICE have released an image of a watch stolen in a burglary in St Helens in a reappeal for information.

A black Audi S7, taken from the Warrington Road home, has now been recovered by officers.

The burglary took place between 11am and midday on Tuesday (October 11), when it is believed three offenders forced their way into the property through a window.

As well as the Tag Heuer watch, they stole cash, diamond earrings, a Rolex watch and keys before leaving and taking the car which had a set of Ping golf clubs in the boot of the car.

Earlier this week, DC Roy Waller from St Helens CID said: "We all need to be vigilant. If you see anyone acting suspiciously report it to the police.

"These offenders will need to walk up driveways to look through doors and windows to see if there are keys in sight of a door or window.

"If you notice any such behaviour contact the police on 101 or in an emergency dial 999."

Anyone who recognises the watch, or has information in relation to this offence or burglaries in general is asked to contact St Helens CID on 0151 777 6802, the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
