A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD boy was allegedly assaulted by a motorist following an altercation in Whiston, police say.
Merseyside Police is investigating reports after officers were called to Milton Avenue, at around 4.40pm on Monday (September 26).
Police received reports that the boy had been assaulted in the street following an altercation with a man who got out of his car. The boy was not seriously hurt by the incident.
Neighbourhood Inspector Graeme Webster said: “We are keen to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and are actively pursuing a number of lines of enquiry including tracing and speaking to the driver.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 101 or the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.”
