THIS is the scene at a busy junction in town where two police cars have been involved in a crash this afternoon.
The collision happened at the junction of Boundary Road, Lingholme Road and Kirkland Street at 12.55pm.
A police spokesman said: "Both cars were responding to an emergency incident in St Helens at the time of the collision.
"Two officers received minor injuries as a result of this collision.
"No other cars were involved.
"Officers from the roads policing team are investigating the incident and the road is expected to be re-opened shortly. "
