CROWDS turned out as the Steve Prescott Bridge turned blue in memory of Danny Fox.
The 29-year-old from Thatto Heath was stabbed to death in the early of hours of Friday on North John Street in St Helens town centre.
An outpouring of grief followed and friends requested the bridge was lit as a tribute to a man nicknamed "blue eyes".
St Helens Council agreed to the request and the bridge will be lit until Wednesday night.
Dozens headed to the bridge tonight, with some leaving balloons with messages that read: "Shine bright, Foxy".
A murder investigation is ongoing and a 20-year-old man remains in police custody, where he is being questioned.
