FLORISTS from a Morrisons store are looking to brighten up people's Bank Holiday by leaving colourful posies across the town.

Florists from the Morrisons on Boundary Road are dropping colourful summer posies in locations across St Helens on Thursday, August 25 for people to pick up and take home.

After a spell of changeable summer holiday weather, the florists are hoping that the jolly posies will help brighten up St Helens' Bank Holiday weekend.

The posies are being placed in parks, bus stops and shopping areas for passers by to pick up. They are made from multi-coloured Germini, which look like big, brightly coloured summer daisies.

Adrian Poultney, Morrisons Boundary Road store manager said: "Our florists know how changeable the weather has been this summer and wanted to cheer everyone up. We hope that people who find these brightly-coloured posies across St Helens will pick them up, take them home, and enjoy having their little splash of warming colour in their house.”
