THESE photos show the moment police descended on a Sutton estate on Saturday (August 6) following reports that someone was seen brandishing a gun in a car.
A number of police cars attended the area after a call from a member of the public who reported seeing "the occupant of a car with a gun".
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police confirmed they were called from Carnegie Crescent at 7.15pm.
She added: "Officers attended the surrounding area but found no evidence of a weapon or a firearms discharge."
A witness, who did not want to be named, told the Star that there were "armed police and dogs" in nearby Garnet Street, shown in the photos taken by residents.
