PEPPA Pig was in town to launch this year's Summer Beach at Church Square.
She joined mayor and mayoress Cllrs Dave and Jeanette Banks at the official opening of the popular Summer Beach and Funfair attraction last Friday (July 22).
A small street food festival was set up throughout Church Street to mark the launch.
Also as part of the council's ‘Think Before You Tan’ campaign, a stall highlighting sunbed and sun safety was set up where residents could receive advice and messages from council and Macmillan Cancer Support staff.
Also the iVan rolled into town offering advice on cancer and cancer screening, early detection and prevention, skin and mole changes and all health related concerns and queries.
Summer Beach runs until Saturday, September 3 from 10am to 4pm.
