Police issue appeal after 'bottle attack'
POLICE are hunting for a suspect after a man was hit on the head with a bottle in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A 26-year-old man was struck to the head and neck with a bottle on New Cross Street in the town centre at around 4.30am.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for head and neck injuries and was later discharged.
The offender is described as a white male, around 5ft 6in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a blue hooded top.
