EMERGENCY services have been called to a traffic accident this afternoon.
Two vehicles collision were in collision at around 1.40pm this afternoon at the location close to the Rainford bypass.
Fire crews and ambulance are currently at the scene.
Rainford Road and Crank Road have been closed. A diversion has been set up by Rainford Road back on to the East Lancashire Road.
A traffic update said: "Rainford Road both ways closed due to accident at A580 East Lancashire Road / B5201 Crank Road (Windle Traffic Lights). Traffic coping well".
