A 41-WOMAN, in hospital following a house fire, is to be arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Four men and four women have been taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a property on Fleet Lane in Parr just after 4am this morning (Thursday, April 21).
The house was extensively damaged and the scene remains under investigation.
Fleet Lane has now been re-opened following early road closures.
MOTORISTS are being warned that Fleet Lane in Parr is closed in both directions following a house fire between Lansbury Avenue and Ashtons Green Drive.
Police are at the scene directing traffic.
