A 63-YEAR-old woman had to be given oxygen after a fire broke out in her flat on Friday (April 8).
Two fire engines were called to an address on Dragon Lane in Prescot but discovered the blaze was out on arrival.
The woman was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital to be treated for slight smoke inhalation.
A UPVC window and a curtain were damaged by the flames and there was smoke damage to the rest of the flat.
Fire crews remained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
