ALDI is looking to recruit four apprentices for their stores in Haydock, Westpoint, Clock Face and St Helens Retail Park.
It is part of a scheme which will see more than 700 people taken on across the country.
The apprentices are trained in all aspects of retail management during a course which lasts for three years featuring a mix of in-store and theory work. the scheme also offers store assistant training in year one and store management training in years two and three with a starting salary of £5.40 per hour rising to £7.85 per hour.
Aldi apprentices also receive a Retail Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification. By the end of the scheme the most successful store apprentices will have the opportunity to progress to the position of assistant store manager with a starting salary of £30,000. By joining the scheme apprentices could ultimately be fast tracked to a store manager position if they excel during training.
Applications for the scheme should be submitted via Aldi's recruitment website aldirecruitment.co.uk/apprentice. Successful candidates will be asked to attend an interview followed by work experience at a local store.
Jon Wilson, regional managing director at Aldi said: " The Aldi Apprenticeship Scheme has been hugely successful in delivering hundreds of roles for dedicated people nationwide in the four years since it was launched.
“We’re now looking for a record number of candidates to join one of the most dynamic and fast-growing retailers in the UK, with a proven track record in developing and progressing its staff.
“Aldi’s apprentices are given real responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to learn about the business from a grassroots level, and we expect our recruits to progress to a management position with us.”
