Firefighters tackle lorry fire on the M6
A LORRY on the M6 just past Haydock Island burst into flames early on Monday morning (February 22).
Firefighters from Newton-le-Willows and Parr Stocks attended the incident on the southbound carriageway just before 8.45am.
The crews used a hose jet to put out the fire and remained at the scene for around 45 minutes.
