POLICE investigating an attempted off licence robbery during which a cashier was threatened with a hammer have issued a CCTV appeal.
Officers received a report that a man had entered Booze Buster, Higher Parr Street and removed a hammer from his pocket.
It is alleged he then held the hammer and demanded that the cashier hand over cash, before leaving empty handed.
The incident happened at about 1.05pm on Monday, February 1.
Officers believe the man pictured may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself, is asked to contact Merseyside Police on the non-emergency 101 number or the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
