AHEAD of Chinese New Year on Monday (February 8) which is the Year of the Monkey, TripAdvisor has invited people to rank their top ten Chinese Restaurants in St Helens but do you agree?

Here are the top ten listed by TripAdvisor.

1: Mr Chan's on North Road.

Review: "Sunday evening meal for three consisting of Wonton Soup, Seafood Platter and individual main courses to each persons taste, service was excellent by polite & courtious staff. I recomend this establishment to all who enjoy Chinese Food in pleasant surroundings and a friendly environment."

2: The Chinese Buffet on Bridge Street

Review: "I'm not a huge fan of 'all you can eat' places, EXCEPT for this place, staff are lovely they fitted us in on Black Friday weekend last min, food was spot on and prices where perfect, will definitely be returning , would recommend for any family meal out Or even a cosy date night!!"

Review: "I was recommended here by a friend and I certainly was not disappointed. Outstanding and friendly service in a lovely environment; fantastic early bird menu which caters wonderfully for vegetarians too! Would definitely recommend!"

Review: "Been here a few times now, and not only is the food excellent, but the staff are so lovely and attentive, nice surroundings, and good value, would highly recommend the restaurant."

Review: "This restaurant is amazing. I visit the area every 6 to 8 weeks and always dine here and have done for the last 5 years, alone and with colleagues. Friendly and welcoming staff, comprehensive menu, great hot fresh food and nice decor all add up to a great experience every time without fail. Best prawn toast on the planet. Lovely."

Review: "Been going to Cheung Wah for over 20 years the food is amazing and good value for money. Lovely and friendly staff, will always go here for Chinese will not go anywhere else!"

Review: "Ordered four different dishes. Ready in 20 minutes. Very tasty. Well cooked. Chicken satay, Sweet and sour pork Cantonese style, Beef with bamboo and water chesnuts, Vegetables with cashew nuts. Delicious. Great value. Definitely recommended."
