The collision led to road closures
POLICE say a woman suffered a suspected broken shoulder after being knocked down while crossing the road in St Helens town centre.
The 30-year-old woman from St Helens was taken to Whiston Hospital near to Linkway West shortly after 5pm and led to road closures, according to reports.
Merseyside Police said she had crossed the road in front of a black Ford Focus, driven by a man from St Helens.
