A PUBLIC artwork was today unveiled on a housing estate where Saints' former Knowsley Road once stood after the RFL chose St Helens as a national site to commemorate the 120 year history of rugby league.
The stone pillar, which carries a blue plaque, now stands on Taylor Wimpey's Cunningham Grange development in Eccleston.
Eamonn McManus, the Saints chairman and Nigel Wood, RFL chief executive, were among those to attend the ribbon cutting in Eccleston.
