A SCHOOL invited members of a local parish club to join their Harvest Festival celebrations.
Year 3 and 5 pupils from Blackbrook St Mary's Catholic Primary School entertained members of the Wednesday Club' performing songs, readings and prayers.
The visitors were presented with fruit baskets and hampers, which were donated by the children's families.
Wednesday Club members stayed at the school, in Chain Lane, for tea and biscuits, served by Year 6 pupils, before a game of bingo.
After the event, one parishioner said: "Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Children and staff can feel very proud of everything you have done so that we have been able to celebrate Harvest with you."
A large amount of food was donated to the St Helens food bank in order to support the local community.
