SOME of St Helens finest musical talent will be on show at Haydock Park on Friday (October 16) at the community race day.

Rockers Titors Insignia will be kicking off proceedings at 12.30pm with their catalogue of Brit-pop, indie and punk inspired tracks. They will also be performing hits from their debut album Fair City Riots.

Next up are Stillia, an up and coming band who many expect to hit the big time. The foursome from Sutton have been honing their talent at gigs and festivals up and down the country.

At 2.10pm solo artist Andy Pink will take to the stage. Along with regular slots on the BBC he has performed with the likes of Scouting for Girls, Ian McNabb and Bastille.

The Pride of St Helens Young Musician of the Year 2014 winner Aimee Critchley will be showcasing the talents which helped her pick up the prestigious award.

Just before 4pm and 4.30pm Merseyside songwriter Sam Westhead will use his double slot to perform a selection of original tracks.

St Helens student and singer songwriter Megan Lunt will close the days entertainment.

X Factor starlet Kiera Weathers, who is currently taking Saturday night TV by storm, will also be making an appearance, presenting a race winner and doing a 10-minute interview, while Vernon Fuller will perform at the entrance from noon as well as in the parade once the racing starts.
