FOLLOWING a successful pilot project, the Heart of Glass is offering the chance for residents to have live music performances in their own homes.

An ensemble from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will return for three specially commissioned shows.

The Star reported earlier in the year when the orchestra's performances included an appearance at Cowley for Saints and at the home of Kathryn Cunliffe, from Newton-le-Willows.

St Helens residents can apply until Friday, November 6 with the free performances taking place in homes between Monday, November 30 and Saturday, December 12.

Kat Dempsey, lead producer of the Heart of Glass, said: “In My Place is a project to create unique opportunities for people in St Helens to engage with arts and culture on their own doorstep. We are delighted to fully roll out the programme with more opportunities for once in a lifetime performances in people’s homes.”

People can apply by calling 01744 623407, e-mail info@heartofglass.org.uk with the subject: In My Place or post applications to Heart of Glass, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.
