Job Centre Plus make referrals to the Youth Employment Gateway Programme
YOUNG people starting on a youth employment programme will have access to a personalised budget of £500.
The Youth Employment Gateway Programme, which helps unemployed 18 to 24-year-olds into work, is available to young people who live in the Liverpool city region, including St Helens and Knowsley.
The £500 budget can be spent on courses, work-related equipment or tools, personal protective equipment or uniforms, CRB checks or the cost of travel.
Referrals onto the programme are made by Job Centre Plus work coaches.
