Police brought the charges tonight
AN 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of Merseyside olice officer David Phillips in Wirral.
Clayton Ronald Williams, of Wheatland Lane, Wallasey, is charged with the murder of PC Phillips, attempted section 18 wounding against PC Birkett, burglary and aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.
Phillip Stuart, 30, of Mayfair Court, Oxton, is charged with aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle and burglary.
They will both appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Thursday.
