STAR readers took to social media to offer their support to Kiera Weathers who made it through to the next stage of the X Factor with a wonderful performance of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You dedicated to her late mother.

The 18-year-old from Clock Face overcame a hugely tense audition on Sunday night which saw judge Rita Ora select her final six singers.

Posting on the Star's Facebook page Tracey Anne Edwards wrote: "Amazing I was crying buckets so proud xx well done Kiera xx."

Carol Ann Smith-Singleton said: "You were fantastic Kiera. Best one tonight by far,way you go girl."

Robert J Briers added: "Kiera Your Amazing! The whole of St Helens is so proud of you."

Keran Kean echoed the sentiment of many other readers when she said: "She made me cry, she deserves to do well, go Kiera!"
