VOLUNTEERS from the HoneyRose Foundation proved you don't need to spend mega bucks to look good as they put on a fashion show with clothes donated to their charity shop.

It was held in St Mary's Market and featured a range of men's women's and children's clothes.

Kerri Whitehead, 20, from Sutton was one of the main organisers alongside fellow volunteer Emma Roby, 18 from Clock Face.

Kerri explained: "Too often many young people don't think that charity shops have any decent fashion in them. But we have a lot of girls and men's clothes and loads for babies.

"Putting on the show was hard work, I've even been dreaming about it. But it was worth it. In total we had five volunteers, eight models and four children who all helped make it happen. It really was a team effort from finding the clothes to ironing them."

Lynn Duffy the founder of HoneyRose, which is based on Ormskirk Street in the town centre, said: "Kerri and Emma have worked their socks off and they picked some really good stuff for the fashion show."
