IF you have been inspired by TV show ‘Who do you think you are?’ to research your ancestry attend a session at Prescot Library next Tuesday (August 18).

Situated at Prescot Shopping Centre, the library offers a free family history help desk once a month with a knowledgeable member of staff from Knowsley Archives.

The next help desk is taking place on Tuesday, from 9am to 12pm with further sessions throughout the rest of the year.

Anyone interested in coming along is asked to bring as much information about their ancestors as they can. The session is open to everyone, even if their family doesn’t hail from the local area.

Prescot Shopping Centre manager, Victoria Nichol, said: “Anyone looking to learn about their family history should pop in during the session.

“The library hosts lots of exciting activities, keep an eye on our website for more information.”

If you are interested in attending, come along to the library on Tuesday and the help desk is operated on a first come, first served basis. Advance bookings cannot be taken.
