Emergency crews at the scene of the crash
TWO people were taken to hospital last Thursday following a three-car collision at Haydock Island which saw one vehicle turned on its roof.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near the East Lancashire Road, following the accident which took place at around 2pm on Thursday, July 23.
A 64-year-old woman was freed from her overturned car by firefighters who removed the roof and taken to Aintree Hospital.
A 37-year-old man from another of the cars was taken to Whiston Hospital while a man in his 50s from a third vehicle was also checked at the scene by paramedics.
