PRESCOT Library is looking to create a new wave of silver surfers by offering a computer advice session.

The free seminar will be at the library on Friday, July 31. Over 65s in particular are encouraged to attend.

Running from 12pm to 4pm, there will be experts on hand to offer guidance on how to get online and enjoy the benefits of being connected.

The drop-in session will provide a variety of demonstrations, including basic functions such as how to use a keyboard and mouse and guidance on how to do a search, set up social media profiles, email addresses, how to stay connected with friends and family, as well as highlighting how to use online banking and online shopping services.

Prescot Shopping Centre manager, Victoria Nichol, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity to help show those who feel daunted by the digital world, just how easy it is to get online.

“The drop-in session is a brilliant way to help build confidence in getting online and experiencing all of the benefits the internet has to offer.”

Anyone interested can call 0151 443 5101 or pop along to the session.
