KNOWSLEY Safari Park is inviting visitors to create a wild tribute to celebrate International Tiger Day.

Held from Saturday, July 25 until Friday 31, families can get creative at the Prescot attraction's safari tent, where they will can take the pledge to become palm oil aware and apply their artworks to a giant tiger canvas.

Laura Howarth, learning and discovery officer at Knowsley Safari, said: “Deforestation affects many animals, including tigers in the wild, and palm oil harvesting is a major influencing factor in this issue.

“The activity will give us the opportunity to educate visitors about these issues and help them understand which products contain palm oil and how to identify products that are either free-from or sustainable.

“We are hoping to create a meaningful piece of artwork that will show those that have taken the pledge that making small changes at home will make a big difference to the wild.”
