A FAMILY which has featured in the Star over several years had their wish come true after winning a fairytale holiday to Disneyland Paris.
The Beedles from Sutton Manor were selected out of tens of thousands of people across the country after entering a Hamleys toy store competition.
Hamleys had teamed up with Disney to celebrate the release of the film Cinderella this year.
Jasmine Beedles first featured in the Star as a baby when she was diagnosed with Di George Syndrome which affects her internal organs.
But the 13 year-old continues to defy medical opinion which initially gave her just months to live. And the Star has followed her brave battle against the condition throughout her life.
A team from Hamleys, dressed as fairytale characters, turned up at Jasmine's school Lansbury Bridge to spring the surprise.
The family will travel to France this September where they will be given the star treatment before they attend the Magic Before Midnight Ball. It is the jewel in the crown of a weekend which will see a royal banquet with Cinderella and Prince Charming.
