A ST HELENS man is among five people to have been charged with drug conspiracy offences following police raids in Merseyside, Cheshire, Manchester and South Wales.

Eleven people were arrested during Thursday's operation, which was led by detectives from Titan, the north-west's regional organised crime unit.

The five people charged are:

Adam Parkes, aged 34, of Sorrell Way, Clock Face, St Helens, Merseyside - charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug (cocaine)

James Bush, aged 34, of Ash Grove, Wallasey, Wirral, Merseyside - charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug(cocaine) and conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug (amphetamine)

Joseph Poulson, aged 26, of Davenham Court, Wavertree, Liverpool, Merseyside - charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug (cocaine)

Richard Poulson, aged 28, of Rocastle Close, Liverpool, Merseyside - charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug (cocaine) and conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug(amphetamine)

Andrew Rogers, aged 44, of Westley St, Maesteg, Bridgend, South Wales - charged with conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug (amphetamine)

All five will appeared before Liverpool City Magistrates Court on Saturday 18th July.

Six other people from Widnes and Runcorn in Cheshire, Swinton in Manchester and Fairfield in Liverpool have been questioned and release on police bail pending further enquiries.

Fourteen properties were searched as part of the investigation.
