MORE than £4,250 was raised for Willowbrook Hospice at their 9th annual golf tournament.
Playing in 16 teams of four 64 golfers teed off at Huyton and Prescot Golf Course last Thursday (July 2). After several hours of golf all those that took part enjoyed a three course dinner and award presentation.
Mark Pilkington challenges fundraiser for Willowbrook Hospice said: "The golf day was a great success with teams more competitive than ever. All the money raised from the event will help us to continue to care for people who have life shortening illnesses in the St Helens and Knowsley area.
"Our thanks go to everyone who took part, our corporate sponsors GPW Recruitment, the golf club and their staff for their support and service on the day."
The Willowbrook Challenge Shield was won by 'The Musketeers' Carlos Pacheco, Adriano Afonso, Marco Comacho and Steve Swann.
Among those taking part were many who have seen at first hand the work done by the hospice either personally or through family members.
