MEN in Knowsley are being urged to focus on their health this week.
Men's Health Week, from June 15 to 21, aims to encourage men in the borough to think about their lifestyle.
A health team will visit Tesco in Prescot on Friday with a 'fat demonstrator' - a piece of equipment which reveals food's fat content - as well as models of clogged arteries, in a bid to drive home the health message. Goal-setting cards will also be available.
Councillor Eddie Connor, cabinet member for public health and wellbeing, said: "I'd urge every man in Knowsley to take some time during Men's Health Week to focus on their health and make a conscious decision to lead a better lifestyle.
"We know making a few simple changes in our behaviour and lifestyle can have a major positive impact on our health and wellbeing."
Knowsley Council's community health development team will be at Tesco, between 12.30 and 3.30pm.
