A NUMBER of vehicles were destroyed after a pile of tyres caught fire outside a garage.
Two fire crews from Eccleston and St Helens were called to an industrial estate of Mill Lane in Rainford at 9.40am on Saturday (June 6).
A spokeswoman from the Merseyside Fire and Rescue said the fire spread to the gable end of the building causing "moderate" heat damage to tiles and a wooden fascia. They said that the cause of the fire is accidental, although they could not confirm how it started.
Firefighters left the scene by 10.35am. There were no reports of any injuries.
