MAX EVANS has spent the last two Scotland games watching his younger brother Thom carve out a Test career - but the pair trade places in Saturday's final autumn international.

Max will be on the bench for the first time against Canada at Pittodrie and while the centre hopes to get game-time, his longer-term ambition is to share the international stage with his younger sibling.

The 25-year-old watched from the stands as brother Thom, 23, starred against New Zealand and South Africa over the last fortnight.

But an injury picked up against the Springboks on Saturday has prompted head coach Frank Hadden to leave wing Thom out of the side for this weekend's game.

"It's a shame Thom's not involved this weekend but I'm sure there'll come a day when we'll play together," said Max.

"I've just had two trips to watch him," he said. "It's been great but any rugby player just wants to be a part of it so badly.

"So it will be a bit of a role reversal for him coming to watch me this time."
