HOLLYWOOD actor Russell Crowe says he is “excited” ahead of his South Sydney side’s World Club Challenge clash against Saints at Langtree Park on Sunday.

Crowe arrived in the UK this week and was at a private viewing in central London of his directorial debut The Water Diviner.

The star of films such as Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind and Robin Hood has been actively tweeting ahead of the clash.

One read: “Jet lagged in London. Excited to screen #TheWaterDiviner to folks here. Also about the WCC on Sunday, South Sydney v St Helens. #sstid”

He is set to be joined at a sold out Langtree Park by the Rabbitohs’ NRL winning captain Sam Burgess, now of Bath rugby union. Sam’s younger brothers George and Tom still feature in Souths’ ranks and are huge stars in Australia.
