SAINTS players lifted the spirits of patients on Whiston Hospital’s children’s wards as they arrived for their annual pre-Christmas rounds — along with a gleaming visitor.
Senior squad members such as Kyle Amor, Jordan Turner and Adam Swift arrived with the Super League Trophy tucked under their arms.
And the cup, won by defeating Wigan in this year’s Grand Final, took a trip around different beds on the ward.
The Saints aces also handed out goodies including calendars, teddy bears, pencil cases, and badges.
They made the day for Jack Watkinson, who turns eight on Christmas Eve.
Rose Douglas, directorate manager for Paediatrics said: “The children were really excited to see their rugby heroes. Thank you to everyone at Saints for their generosity.”
